How does the search process work?
Abika enables an interactive search engine service. Abika helps
people search what they seek by connecting people who seek
results to people who either have the results or can
help you search the results. You select the search topic and get
help from real people. You can also help people by
searching what others seek. Abika is about sharing what you know
and what you want to search. So join in and start sharing.
Search requests are screened and there are fees
for the service of processing or deducing the searches. Many
databases and search venues could have access fees and the
searches are conducted by researchers / search guides, who need to be paid for
the work involved. Any deduced search results are compiled through a
continuous interaction and overlapping of induction and
deduction, of available data, theoretical hypotheses, pattern
analysis and
empirical evidence. Deduced searches are protected by copyright. Searching can help estimate what type of
results could be deduced or be available at any time depending on your search
criteria.
How
does Abika compare with conventional Search Engines?
For
most conventional search engines like Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista,
Ask
and MSN Search the searches are conducted automatically
by a computer program (algorithm) that searches websites and
internet data, while in the Abika model the searches are
conducted with the help of people and by people. Conventional search
engines crawl the web and create an index of web pages and data
that is on computers while Abika.com creates an index of people
who are skilled researchers / search guides or have knowledge of other people.
What people know about other people is much
greater than the amount of information stored on all the world's
computers and databases combined. Abika is
focused on improving the ways people connect
with this collective knowledge. Generally
conventional search engines are free to search and
the costs are borne by advertisers who pay to advertise on the
search engine. Abika's interactive search engine has no advertisers and
therefore the costs are borne by the searchers in the form of
fees for the service of searching. Searching can help estimate
what type of results could be available or deduced at any time depending on
your search criteria.
Who provides search services
through
the Abika Search Engine?
Click here to view the dynamic list of some of the
researchers / search guides. These are independent researchers
/ search guides. Abika notifies researchers / search guides to
only consider the search request if they can provide help,
research and guidance in compliance with Federal, State or Local
Laws. Compliance is monitored. |
| |
Why are paid searches confidential?
Paid search services and guidance can be provided by
licensed professionals. In some states oral or written
communications, furnished by a professional person or
client to a licensee, or any information secured in connection
with an assignment for a client, shall be deemed privileged with
the same authority and dignity as are other privileged
communications recognized by the courts of that state. |
| |
I want to use the search results for a court or other legal
proceeding. Is a notarized affidavit describing details of
search results available?
Notarized affidavits describing the details of search
results are available on a case by case basis. There are
additional fees to request
notarized affidavits.
Please click here to
request more information. |

individual
is, there may be no one magic search to find locate
